Kelly Zbojovsky, Ph.D.

Dr. Kelly Zbojovsky is the Founder and Director of Zbojovsky Cognitive Behavioral Consulting, LLC, which provide comprehensive evidence-based therapy and consultation to children, adolescents, adults, families, and organizations. She is a clinical psychologist licensed in the states of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.


Dr. Zbojovsky graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Zbojovsky’s clinical training included working with a range of psychopathology in outpatient and acute inpatient settings. Her graduate research focused on risk and resiliency factors in adolescence and the role of evidence-based practices to help youth and families promote positive development. Dr. Zbojovsky published her Master’s thesis and continues to peer review articles for a journal focused on child and adolescent research. During her graduate training, Dr. Zbojovsky was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and was the recipient of the Outstanding Child/Adolescent Track Student Award and Black History in the Making Award for academic excellence and service to the University community.


During her two-year postdoctoral fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Zbojovsky’s clinical training focused on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Dr. Zbojovsky was intensively trained in the application of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to children, adolescents, and adults, and she served as a primary therapist for a research study conducting Dialectical Behavioral Therapy adapted for children (DBT-c). 


Currently, Dr. Zbojovsky works in her private practice with a mission to provide evidence-based treatment and make an impactful change in the lives of individuals struggling with mood, behavior, and relationship difficulties. She is devoted to understanding her client’s current capabilities and providing the support and tools to help her clients to grow and create a more fulfilling life. Dr. Zbojovsky respects the time, energy and willingness that clients bring into treatment and uses her own energy and humor to create an honest and motivating environment to facilitate client growth and change. Her clinical areas of interest include emotional and behavioral dysregulation, anxiety and mood disorders, social skills development, parenting and family interventions, and preventative and resiliency skills development.


When Dr. Zbojovsky isn’t with patients, you can find her trying her best to master Zumba, intensely cheering on her favorite football team, searching for new crafting ideas for her little ones or in search of the perfect therapy dog. Dr. Zbojovsky tries to practice what she preaches and build her own life worth living.
