Dr. Zbojovsky graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Zbojovsky received clinical training working with children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of psychopathology in outpatient and acute inpatient settings. She has published her Master’s thesis and continues to peer review articles for a journal focused on child and adolescent research. During her graduate training, Dr. Zbojovsky was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and was the recipient of the Outstanding Child/Adolescent Track Student Award and Black History in the Making Award for academic excellence and service to the University community.

During her two-year postdoctoral fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Zbojovsky continued her clinical training with children and adolescents, specifically focusing on psychological assessments, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Parent Management Training (PMT). Dr. Zbojovsky was intensively trained in the application of DBT to children, adolescents and adults, and she served as a primary therapist for a research study conducting Dialectical Behavioral Therapy adapted for children (DBT-c). Her current clinical areas of focus includes CBT for a variety of disorders (i.e., anxiety disorders, trauma, ADHD, and psychosis), DBT for children, adolescents and young adults with high-risk behaviors and emotion and behavioral dysregulation, social skills training, PMT for a variety of child behavioral issues, and family therapy.

Dr. Zbojovsky is devoted to understanding her client’s current capabilities and providing the support and tools to help her clients to grow and create a more fulfilling life. Dr. Zbojovsky respects the time, energy and willingness that clients bring into treatment and uses her own energy and humor to create an honest and motivating environment to facilitate client growth and change.

When Dr. Zbojovsky isn’t with patients, you can find her trying her best to master Zumba, intensely cheering on her favorite football team, or in search of the perfect therapy dog.  Dr. Zbojovsky tries to practice what she preaches and build her own life worth living.
